Dixie Echoes Welcome Michael Helwig

Pensacola, Florida - August 10, 2011 - The Dixie Echoes are pleased to announce the addition of new tenor vocalist, Michael Helwig. Mike is 35 years old and is originally from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. He currently resides in Carthage, Tennessee, but will soon make Pensacola, Florida his new home.

Randy Shelnut Jr. states, "As soon as Michael sang his first song with the group, I knew that we had found our new tenor. His voice blends great with ours and he has the ability to hit every high note with such ease. We've known Michael for a while, and are looking forward to having him as a part of the Dixie Echoes."

Michael has been singing professionally since the age of 19. Since coming to the United States, he has taken his love for music across the country and around the world with such groups as The Wilburns and The Stamps Quartet.

Michael's first performance as a member of the Dixie Echoes is in Greenville, SC, on August 11, 2011. The Dixie Echoes welcome Michael, his wife Leslie, twin daughters Eva and Lauren, and son, Sam, as a part of our group.

Dixie Echoes Welcome Mike Jennings

Pensacola, Florida - August 1, 2011 - The Dixie Echoes are pleased to announce the addition of new bass vocalist, Mike Jennings. Mike is 39 years old and hails from Westminster, Maryland. He will soon make Pensacola, Florida his new home.

Stewart Varnado states, "At the beginning of our search for a bass singer, we were in concert with Gold City. Their tenor, Dan Keeton, told me of a bass singer from Maryland that we just had to hear. Exactly one week later, Mike came to one of our concerts. Dan was right. Mike immediately impressed all of us. He possesses one of the most pleasant bass voices that I've ever heard."

Mike shares, "My family and I are thrilled to be a part of this distinctive ministry. We have enjoyed the Dixie Echoes for many years now and look forward to what the Lord has in store for us!"

Mike's first performance as a member of the Dixie Echoes was in Dillsburg, PA, on July 29, 2011. All of the Dixie Echoes are excited to have Mike Jennings, his wife Emilee, and 12 year old son Alex as part of our group.

After many requests, the Dixie Echoes have finally made their soundtracks available for purchase. They are only available as digital downloads in our online store. You may buy and instantly download soundtracks from the last five recordings. Individual tracks are available at $5 each, however you can buy the entire album soundtrack for ONLY $20.00!
